Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Utilities and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (TADAWUL:8270), which rose 9.95% or 2.04 points to trade at 22.54 at the close. United International Holding (TADAWUL:4083) added 7.97% or 13.80 points to end at 187.00 and Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8260) was up 4.38% or 0.48 points to 11.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240), which fell 5.56% or 0.86 points to trade at 14.60 in late trade. Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals Factory Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4015) declined 4.05% or 6.60 points to end at 156.20 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (TADAWUL:2370) down 3.50% or 1.55 points to 42.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 165 to 157 and 23 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.82% or 1.38 to $77.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.86% or 1.48 to hit $81.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 24.24 to trade at $2,690.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.43% to 3.83, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 109.79.
