Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Cement and Retail sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.34% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SE:2020), which rose 7.74% or 5.75 points to trade at 80.00 at the close. National Agriculture Marketing Co. (SE:4160) added 7.21% or 2.30 points to end at 34.20 and Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE:2250) was up 6.07% or 1.05 points to 18.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060), which lost 2.13% or 1.00 points to trade at 45.90 in late trade. Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) declined 1.71% or 0.30 points to end at 17.20 and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) shed 1.59% or 0.050 points to 3.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 20 and 16 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.02% or 1.00 to $50.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.10% or 1.09 to hit $52.93 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.75 to trade at $1171.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.32% to 3.9854, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 101.22.
