Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.93%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Hotels & Tourism , Industrial Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.93%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Food Products Co. (SE: 2100 ), which rose 10.18% or 2.80 points to trade at 30.30 at the close. Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ) added 10.00% or 0.80 points to end at 8.80 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE: 8160 ) was up 9.55% or 0.95 points to 10.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SE: 6004 ), which lost 3.74% or 4.00 points to trade at 103.00 in late trade. Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE: 4290 ) declined 2.59% or 0.70 points to end at 26.30 and Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE: 4240 ) shed 1.80% or 0.70 points to 38.10.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 127 to 26 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.13% or 0.94 to $44.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.06% or 0.94 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.50% or 6.25 to trade at $1249.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.17% to 4.2431, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7497.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 94.39.
