Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.79%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing , Agriculture & Food and Real Estate Development sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.79% to hit a new 6-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Cable Company (SE: 2110 ), which rose 8.31% or 3.60 points to trade at 46.90 at the close. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE: 4210 ) added 5.81% or 5.00 points to end at 91.10 and Yanbu Cement Co. (SE: 3060 ) was up 4.78% or 1.25 points to 27.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8310 ), which lost 2.07% or 0.48 points to trade at 22.66 in late trade. Nama Chemicals Co. (SE: 2210 ) declined 1.59% or 0.45 points to end at 27.85 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE: 8150 ) shed 1.53% or 0.32 points to 20.54.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.02% or 0.54 to $53.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.20% or 0.74 to hit $62.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1284.35 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.09% to 4.2633, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7505.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.890.
