Russia shares lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia down 1.35%
Credit: © Reuters. – Russia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Mining and Power sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 1.35% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia were PhosAgro ao (MCX: PHOR ), which rose 2.76% or 65.0 points to trade at 2420.0 at the close. AFK Sistema (MCX: AFKS ) added 2.17% or 0.250 points to end at 11.755 and Aeroflot (MCX: AFLT ) was up 1.31% or 1.80 points to 139.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included MMK (MCX: MAGN ), which lost 4.18% or 1.905 points to trade at 43.720 in late trade. NLMK ao (MCX: NLMK ) declined 3.53% or 5.05 points to end at 137.95 and Tatneft-3 (MCX: TATN ) shed 3.38% or 18.80 points to 536.70.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 170 to 56 and 10 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Russian VIX , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.08% to 24.360.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $1319.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.83% or 1.73 to hit $59.42 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.65% or 1.72 to trade at $63.09 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 0.05% to 58.3895, while EUR/RUB fell 0.27% to 71.3629.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 90.35.
