Russia shares lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia down 0.75%
Credit: © Reuters. – Russia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining , Power and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.75%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Aeroflot (MCX: AFLT ), which rose 3.31% or 3.70 points to trade at 115.50 at the close. NPK OVK PAO (MCX: UWGN ) added 2.38% or 12.8 points to end at 549.8 and NK RussNeft PAO (MCX: RNFT ) was up 1.93% or 11.6 points to 612.6 in late trade.

Biggest losers included MegaFon OAO (MCX: MFON ), which lost 20.61% or 138.90 points to trade at 535.10 in late trade. AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX: TRNF_p ) declined 3.80% or 5750 points to end at 145650 and Safmar Finansovye Investitsii PAO (MCX: SFIN ) shed 3.18% or 25.0 points to 760.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 132 to 75 and 20 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Russian VIX , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 3.02% to 26.920.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 7.00 to $1204.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.59% or 0.41 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.48% or 0.37 to trade at $77.83 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 0.43% to 68.2350, while EUR/RUB fell 0.09% to 79.5054.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.73.
