Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the PSI Financials Gross Return, PSI Industrials Gross Return and PSI Utilities Gross Return sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 1.68% or 0.09 points to trade at 5.13 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 1.03% or 0.04 points to end at 3.73 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) was up 0.57% or 0.01 points to 2.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 3.59% or 0.56 points to trade at 15.03 in late trade. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.79% or 0.07 points to end at 4.01 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) down 1.10% or 0.04 points to 3.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.29% or 0.21 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.33% or 0.23 to hit $70.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 18.40 to trade at $2,671.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 101.26.
