Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the PSI Utilities Gross Return, PSI Consumer Services Gross Return and PSI Basic Materials Gross Return sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE), which rose 0.63% or 0.02 points to trade at 2.41 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 0.58% or 0.10 points to end at 17.20 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.55% or 0.04 points to 7.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 2.51% or 0.36 points to trade at 13.96 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 1.26% or 0.05 points to end at 3.77 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) down 1.15% or 0.20 points to 17.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.28% or 1.80 to $77.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.45% or 1.85 to hit $73.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.20 to trade at $2,663.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 103.04.
