Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the PSI Telecommunications Gross Return, PSI Consumer Services Gross Return and PSI Utilities Gross Return sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 1.30% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.65 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.47% or 0.00 points to end at 0.43 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.54% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.10 in late trade. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.38% or 0.24 points to end at 17.20 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) down 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 20 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.09% or 0.07 to $74.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 15.10 to trade at $2,706.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.62.
