Poland shares lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.38%

Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction , Information Technology and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.38%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Energa SA (WA: ENGP ), which rose 1.29% or 0.12 points to trade at 9.41 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ) added 1.17% or 0.12 points to end at 10.34 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA: PEO ) was up 1.00% or 1.13 points to 114.63 in late trade.

Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA: CDR ), which lost 3.30% or 5.45 points to trade at 159.65 in late trade. Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) declined 2.97% or 1.47 points to end at 48.01 and PKP Cargo (WA: PKPP ) shed 2.35% or 1.05 points to 43.70.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 240 to 212 and 181 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.64% or 0.33 to $51.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.93% or 0.56 to hit $59.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1291.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.02% to 4.2915, while USD/PLN fell 0.07% to 3.7395.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 95.150.
