Poland shares lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.19%

Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Information Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.19%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA: CCCP ), which rose 4.52% or 8.90 points to trade at 205.60 at the close. LPP SA (WA: LPPP ) added 3.28% or 285.00 points to end at 8985.00 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA: KGH ) was up 2.27% or 2.05 points to 92.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included ING Bank Śląski SA (WA: INGP ), which lost 2.19% or 4.00 points to trade at 179.00 in late trade. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA: PKN ) declined 1.83% or 1.56 points to end at 83.61 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) shed 1.74% or 0.040 points to 2.260.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 233 to 197 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.43% or 0.32 to $73.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.02% or 0.79 to hit $77.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.70 to trade at $1261.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.92% to 4.3139, while USD/PLN fell 0.96% to 3.6717.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.82.
