Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the WIG Oil & Gas, WIG Energy and WIG Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 11.37% or 19.80 points to trade at 194.00 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) added 6.23% or 0.41 points to end at 7.02 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 4.45% or 2.26 points to 53.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Allegro (WA:ALEP), which fell 11.33% or 3.98 points to trade at 31.14 in late trade. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 6.86% or 0.60 points to end at 8.07 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) down 2.46% or 3.30 points to 130.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 307 to 223 and 95 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to 5-year highs; rising 11.37% or 19.80 to 194.00. Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.86% or 0.60 to 8.07.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.28% or 0.20 to hit $72.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 5.35 to trade at $2,581.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.34% to 4.32, while USD/PLN fell 0.42% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 106.40.
