Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the WIG Energy, WIG Media and WIG Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.23% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Synektik (WA:SNTP), which rose 4.09% or 8.80 points to trade at 224.00 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 3.51% or 8.30 points to end at 244.50 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) was up 2.88% or 11.30 points to 403.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included 11BIT (WA:11B), which fell 2.27% or 5.20 points to trade at 224.00 in late trade. X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB) declined 1.69% or 1.36 points to end at 78.88 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) down 1.53% or 1.65 points to 106.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 269 to 254 and 104 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.51% or 8.30 to 244.50.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.24% or 1.39 to $60.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.18% or 1.41 to hit $63.38 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 27.26 to trade at $3,320.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.21% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.41% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 98.93.
