Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the WIG IT, WIG Chemicals and WIG Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were 11BIT (WA:11B), which rose 5.90% or 9.00 points to trade at 161.60 at the close. Orange Polska SA (WA:OPL) added 2.17% or 0.16 points to end at 7.45 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 2.01% or 1.90 points to 96.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which fell 1.60% or 0.23 points to trade at 14.12 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 0.83% or 4.60 points to end at 549.00 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) down 0.80% or 5.50 points to 679.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 367 to 192 and 91 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) rose to 3-year highs; gaining 2.01% or 1.90 to 96.30.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.26% or 0.88 to $70.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 20.06 to trade at $2,633.84 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.25% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.25% to 4.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 107.75.
