Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Property and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 2.39% or 0.260 points to trade at 11.140 at the close. Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 2.07% or 0.90 points to end at 44.40 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was up 1.39% or 0.400 points to 29.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which lost 0.65% or 1.400 points to trade at 214.000 in late trade. BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) declined 0.57% or 0.60 points to end at 104.40 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) shed 0.52% or 1.200 points to 228.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 125 to 75 and 37 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.45% or 5.60 to $1242.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.20% or 0.50 to hit $41.26 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.45% or 0.64 to trade at $43.54 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.30% to 7.1280, while USD/PHP rose 0.42% to 46.233.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 95.02.
