Peru shares lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 0.01% – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials , Telecoms and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.01% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM: POM ), which rose 7.18% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.194 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM: AREi ) added 3.45% or 0.020 points to end at 0.600 and Milpo (LM: MIL ) was up 3.33% or 0.090 points to 2.790 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM: TV ), which lost 3.61% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.800 in late trade. Credicorp (LM: BAP ) declined 1.28% or 1.900 points to end at 147.100 and Luz Del Sur (LM: LUZ ) shed 0.85% or 0.100 points to 11.600.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.12% or 1.03 to $49.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1268.85 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4025, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8197.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 96.13.
