Peru shares lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 1.53% – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials , Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.53% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM: ATB ), which rose 2.56% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM: ENE ) added 1.55% or 0.090 points to end at 5.910 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM: BVL ) was up 0.76% or 0.020 points to 2.650 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Panoro (LM: PML ), which lost 7.78% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.166 in late trade. Relapasa (LM: REL ) declined 6.32% or 0.012 points to end at 0.178 and Sider (LM: SID ) shed 5.17% or 0.030 points to 0.550.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 4 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.64% or 0.45 to $69.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $77.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 9.60 to trade at $1197.10 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was up 0.27% to 3.3154, while EUR/PEN fell 0.04% to 3.8395.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 95.37.
