Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.60% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials , Mining and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.60%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM: VOL_pb ), which rose 1.96% or 0.020 points to trade at 1.040 at the close. Credicorp (LM: BAP ) added 1.25% or 2.85 points to end at 231.55 and Aceros Arequip (LM: AREi ) was up 1.22% or 0.010 points to 0.830 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Panoro (LM: PML ), which lost 6.84% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.245 in late trade. Sider (LM: SID ) declined 2.82% or 0.020 points to end at 0.690 and Cerro Verde (LM: CVE ) shed 1.61% or 0.450 points to 27.500.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 13 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.12% or 0.08 to $66.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $75.46 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.60 to trade at $1299.60 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.2715, while EUR/PEN fell 0.06% to 3.8483.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 93.83.
