Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.11% – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment , Healthcare Equipment & Services and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.11%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL: BWO ), which rose 2.57% or 1.000 points to trade at 39.850 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL: AKSOL ) added 1.43% or 0.64 points to end at 45.50 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL: MOWI ) was up 1.35% or 2.50 points to 187.10 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which lost 4.93% or 0.93 points to trade at 17.82 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) declined 1.74% or 7.60 points to end at 428.00 and Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) shed 1.61% or 5.9 points to 360.2.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 94 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.56% or 0.82 to $51.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.54% or 0.95 to hit $60.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1289.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.33% to 9.7795, while USD/NOK rose 0.50% to 8.5198.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.170.
