Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the OSE Health Care Equipment & Service, OSE Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and OSE Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 11.84% or 0.35 points to trade at 3.26 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 2.66% or 4.35 points to end at 168.10 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) was up 2.56% or 6.00 points to 240.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which fell 1.81% or 2.90 points to trade at 157.50 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 1.66% or 1.44 points to end at 85.30 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) down 1.36% or 4.50 points to 325.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 188 to 79 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Shares in Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) rose to all time highs; rising 2.56% or 6.00 to 240.80.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.23% or 0.83 to $66.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.03% or 0.73 to hit $70.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.48% or 43.49 to trade at $2,990.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 11.59, while USD/NOK rose 0.45% to 10.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 103.79.
