Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 1.32%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences , Materials and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.32%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ), which rose 4.80% or 2.75 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) added 3.98% or 13.2 points to end at 345.2 and Aker ASA (OL: AKER ) was up 3.29% or 15.5 points to 486.5 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which lost 3.93% or 0.63 points to trade at 15.39 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) declined 1.20% or 5.60 points to end at 463.00 and Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) shed 1.06% or 0.9 points to 87.5.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 125 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.24% or 0.63 to $51.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.50% or 0.30 to hit $60.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1248.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.7067, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 8.5831.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 97.482.
