Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 1.22%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking , Materials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.22%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ), which rose 4.29% or 18.60 points to trade at 452.20 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) added 3.62% or 12.4 points to end at 352.0 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ) was up 3.51% or 1.35 points to 39.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL: QEC ), which lost 48.55% or 3.77 points to trade at 3.99 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL: GSFO ) declined 1.52% or 1.35 points to end at 87.20 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) shed 0.41% or 1.00 points to 245.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 86 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.78% or 1.15 to $65.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.04% or 1.54 to hit $76.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1301.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 9.5034, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.0450.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 93.40.
