Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the OSE Health Care Equipment & Service, OSE Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and OSE Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.91% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI), which rose 2.88% or 1.65 points to trade at 58.85 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 2.57% or 4.80 points to end at 191.45 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.45% or 14.00 points to 585.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 2.29% or 2.80 points to trade at 119.30 in late trade. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) declined 1.88% or 4.00 points to end at 209.00 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) down 1.67% or 2.00 points to 118.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 166 to 108 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.23% or 0.17 to $75.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.29% or 0.23 to hit $79.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 19.31 to trade at $2,751.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.04% to 11.73, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 11.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 108.14.
