Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.70%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Materials , Diversified Financials and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.70% to hit a new all time high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which rose 2.56% or 0.84 points to trade at 33.67 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) added 1.85% or 7.0 points to end at 380.0 and Aker ASA (OL: AKER ) was up 1.71% or 11.0 points to 653.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 2.59% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.75 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) declined 0.64% or 0.11 points to end at 17.17 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) shed 0.60% or 1.60 points to 270.75.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 87 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $76.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1215.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.33% to 9.7174, while USD/NOK fell 0.12% to 8.3246.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 94.72.
