Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.39%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities , Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.39%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ), which rose 3.20% or 3.1 points to trade at 100.3 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) added 2.80% or 0.44 points to end at 15.97 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL: TGS ) was up 2.37% or 6.0 points to 258.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which lost 4.85% or 11.20 points to trade at 219.80 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) declined 3.33% or 16.80 points to end at 488.20 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL: NOFI ) shed 2.35% or 1.80 points to 74.65.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.06% or 0.64 to $60.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.82 to hit $71.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1204.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.5370, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 8.4741.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 97.27.
