Stock jumps 5% after signing agreement with Marriott to open 7 new luxury hotels in India & Sri Lanka
Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the OSE Health Care Equipment & Service, OSE Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and OSE Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 4.81% or 8.90 points to trade at 193.90 at the close. Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) added 4.01% or 2.18 points to end at 56.48 and TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.95% or 2.55 points to 89.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 2.55% or 0.34 points to trade at 12.78 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.17% or 10.00 points to end at 451.60 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) down 1.38% or 3.90 points to 278.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 151 to 126 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.41% or 1.69 to $71.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.49% or 1.82 to hit $75.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 13.15 to trade at $3,404.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.40% to 11.42, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 9.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 98.01.
