Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.24%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment , Healthcare Equipment & Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.24%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which rose 10.78% or 0.08 points to trade at 0.80 at the close. DnB ASA (OL: DNB ) added 1.60% or 2.5 points to end at 162.1 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ) was up 1.59% or 7.20 points to 459.60 in late trade.

Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ), which lost 2.26% or 0.35 points to trade at 14.89 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) declined 1.43% or 0.69 points to end at 47.62 and Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) shed 1.29% or 4.3 points to 328.7.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 86 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $74.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.26% or 0.20 to hit $77.96 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1257.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.4530, while USD/NOK fell 0.15% to 8.1219.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.38.
