Benzinga - The star performer of the day was Prism Johnson Limited, which saw a significant surge of 7.58%. The stock closed at ₹183.0, up from its last close of ₹170.10. This impressive performance was closely followed by Swan Energy Limited (NS:SWAN), which jumped by 7.56% to close at ₹708.20.

Other notable gainers included Birla Corporation (NS:BRLC) Limited and Olectra Greentech (NS:OLEC) Limited, which rose by 6.49% and 6.38% respectively. Grasim Industries (NS:GRAS) Limited also had a strong day, with a gain of 5.41%.

However, not all stocks enjoyed a positive day. Power Finance (NS:PWFC) Corporation Limited led the pack of losers, tumbling by a significant 8.47% to close at ₹428.85. General Insurance Corporation of India and Rail Vikas Nigam (NS:RAIV) Limited also took a hit, dropping by 8.18% and 7.97% respectively.

After a day marked by volatile trading, India’s key indices managed to rebound from intraday lows, finishing the week on a positive note. Despite broader market indices ending approximately 1% lower, specific sectors like Metal and Oil & Gas witnessed declines exceeding 1%.

By the closing bell, the Sensex edged higher by 167.06 points, or 0.23%, to settle at 71,595.49, while the Nifty gained 64.55 points, or 0.3%, closing at 21,782.50.
