Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the AEX Telecommunications, AEX Consumer Service and AEX Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which rose 0.83% or 0.14 points to trade at 16.39 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 0.53% or 0.02 points to end at 3.63 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was up 0.39% or 0.45 points to 116.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 4.97% or 29.40 points to trade at 561.80 in late trade. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 4.57% or 5.35 points to end at 111.60 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) down 4.17% or 31.20 points to 716.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 78 to 20 and 7 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.13% or 0.09 to $71.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.30 to hit $74.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 32.25 to trade at $2,646.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.44.
