Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the AEX Real Estate Investment Trusts, AEX Technology and AEX Construction & Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which rose 1.11% or 0.27 points to trade at 24.65 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 0.89% or 8.80 points to end at 993.00 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) was up 0.38% or 0.22 points to 57.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which fell 1.46% or 0.09 points to trade at 5.79 in late trade. Exor NV (AS:EXOR) declined 1.17% or 1.15 points to end at 97.35 and Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) down 1.06% or 0.37 points to 33.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 50 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
Shares in ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) rose to all time highs; rising 0.89% or 8.80 to 993.00.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.36% or 0.30 to $84.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.17 to hit $87.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 24.75 to trade at $2,394.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 104.64.
