Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the AEX Industrials, AEX Basic Material and AEX Real Estate Investment Trusts sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.95% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 3.37% or 1.12 points to trade at 34.37 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 2.66% or 1.16 points to end at 44.75 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 2.64% or 29.80 points to 1,158.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which fell 0.56% or 0.09 points to trade at 15.91 in late trade. NN Group NV (AS:NN) declined 0.42% or 0.19 points to end at 44.87 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) down 0.11% or 0.10 points to 89.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 65 to 39 and 8 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.15% or 0.12 to $82.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.21% or 0.18 to hit $85.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.10 to trade at $2,417.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 103.80.
