Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the AEX Industrials, AEX Consumer Service and AEX Basic Material sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.72% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 3.17% or 4.45 points to trade at 145.00 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) added 1.98% or 0.68 points to end at 35.09 and Exor NV (AS:EXOR) was up 1.94% or 1.75 points to 91.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which fell 0.85% or 6.30 points to trade at 739.10 in late trade. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 0.51% or 0.08 points to end at 15.88 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) down 0.47% or 0.70 points to 147.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 74 to 22 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.23% or 0.18 to $77.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $81.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 4.21 to trade at $2,755.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 109.14.
