Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the AEX Oil & Gas, AEX Technology and AEX Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 3.32% or 36.40 points to trade at 1,134.40 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 1.29% or 0.53 points to end at 41.63 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 1.15% or 6.60 points to 579.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.72% or 0.35 points to trade at 19.77 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 0.92% or 0.24 points to end at 25.82 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) down 0.40% or 0.55 points to 137.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 51 to 44 and 14 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.24% or 1.79 to $78.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.66 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 4.95 to trade at $2,508.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 102.67.
