Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.62%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities , Mining and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.62% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS: MIC ), which rose 4.24% or 11.40 points to trade at 280.00 at the close. Auto Hall (CS: AUTO ) added 4.14% or 3.65 points to end at 91.80 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) was up 3.51% or 5.10 points to 150.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Miniere Touissit (CS: CMT ), which lost 5.96% or 95 points to trade at 1500 in late trade. Atlanta (CS: ATL ) declined 5.54% or 3.96 points to end at 67.50 and Managem (CS: MNG ) shed 4.45% or 55 points to 1180.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.48% or 0.32 to $67.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.01% or 0.73 to hit $72.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1227.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 11.0390, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.4832.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.78.
