Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.59%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper , Chemicals and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.59%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS: STR ), which rose 9.92% or 2.40 points to trade at 26.60 at the close. Aluminum mar 1l (CS: ALU ) added 3.94% or 63 points to end at 1664 and Managem (CS: MNG ) was up 3.80% or 38 points to 1038 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Med Paper (CS: PAP ), which lost 4.46% or 0.98 points to trade at 21.00 in late trade. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ) declined 3.70% or 0.50 points to end at 13.00 and Snep (CS: SNP ) shed 3.61% or 16.20 points to 432.65.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.06% or 0.55 to $52.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.26% or 0.76 to hit $60.96 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.45 to trade at $1250.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.16% to 10.7980, while USD/MAD fell 0.22% to 9.5042.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 97.023.
