Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.27%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities , Pharmaceutical Industry and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.27%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Brasseries Du Maroc (CS: SBM ), which rose 5.96% or 149 points to trade at 2649 at the close. SMI (CS: SMI ) added 5.71% or 200 points to end at 3700 and CDM (CS: CDM ) was up 5.11% or 26 points to 535 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS: PRO ), which lost 5.98% or 101 points to trade at 1589 in late trade. Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) declined 4.71% or 8.00 points to end at 162.00 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS: NKL ) shed 4.43% or 2.48 points to 53.50.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 23 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.24% or 0.61 to $49.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.32 to hit $55.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1329.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 11.1410, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.3740.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.28.
