Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.15%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Oil & Gas and Distributors sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.15% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS: PAP ), which rose 6.04% or 1.25 points to trade at 21.96 at the close. Hps (CS: HPS ) added 4.94% or 114.00 points to end at 2420.00 and Colorado (CS: COL ) was up 2.94% or 2.00 points to 70.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Fenie Brossette (CS: FBR ), which lost 5.56% or 5.00 points to trade at 85.00 in late trade. Jet Contractors (CS: JET ) declined 3.00% or 9.80 points to end at 317.00 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) shed 2.88% or 4.30 points to 145.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.74% or 1.79 to $63.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.43% or 2.59 to hit $72.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.95% or 23.60 to trade at $1235.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.27% to 10.8500, while USD/MAD fell 0.63% to 9.5110.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.83% at 96.10.
