Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.34%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities , Mining and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.34%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ), which rose 6.51% or 6.30 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 6.25% or 40 points to end at 680 and Taslif (CS: TSF1 ) was up 5.99% or 1.43 points to 25.29 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Maghreb Oxygene (CS: OXYG ), which lost 5.85% or 7.90 points to trade at 127.10 in late trade. Dari Couspate SA (CS: DRI ) declined 5.80% or 160 points to end at 2600 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS: SRM ) shed 5.63% or 18.00 points to 302.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 29 to 24 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.28% or 0.63 to $49.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.86% or 0.96 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.50 to trade at $1269.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.17% to 11.1260, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.4734.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 93.23.
