Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.10%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport , Pharmaceutical Industry and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.10%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Timar (CS: TIM ), which rose 5.95% or 11.90 points to trade at 211.90 at the close. Sothema (CS: SOT ) added 4.00% or 50 points to end at 1300 and LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS: LHM ) was up 3.31% or 80 points to 2500 in late trade.

Biggest losers included S2M (CS: S2M ), which lost 6.33% or 15.00 points to trade at 222.00 in late trade. Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ) declined 5.99% or 63 points to end at 987 and Stroc Industrie (CS: STR ) shed 4.92% or 2.46 points to 47.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.55% or 0.27 to $49.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.72 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.75 to trade at $1232.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.01% to 10.7490, while USD/MAD rose 0.00% to 10.0102.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.19.
