Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.01%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals , Forestry & Paper and Beverage sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.01%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afric Industries Sa (CS: AFIND ), which rose 5.76% or 16.50 points to trade at 303.00 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 4.38% or 26 points to end at 620 and Snep (CS: SNP ) was up 3.06% or 11.00 points to 370.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Taslif (CS: TSF1 ), which lost 5.86% or 1.60 points to trade at 25.70 in late trade. IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ) declined 4.26% or 4.00 points to end at 90.00 and Micro Data SA (CS: MIC ) shed 3.98% or 8.50 points to 205.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 17 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.02% or 0.51 to $49.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.41% or 0.74 to hit $51.90 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.38 to trade at $1262.72 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 10.9230, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.7750.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 97.28.
