Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.78%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials , Insurance and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.78% to hit a new 6-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS: BMCI ), which rose 6.06% or 40 points to trade at 700 at the close. Ciments Du Maroc (CS: SCM ) added 5.96% or 90 points to end at 1600 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) was up 5.30% or 8.50 points to 169.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS: PRO ), which lost 5.98% or 97 points to trade at 1525 in late trade. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS: DLM ) declined 4.20% or 7.40 points to end at 168.60 and Auto Hall (CS: AUTO ) shed 2.02% or 2.20 points to 106.65.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.04% or 1.00 to $48.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.72% or 0.39 to hit $54.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.04 to trade at $1352.34 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.03% to 11.1920, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.2984.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 91.33.
