Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.38%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance , Beverage and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.38%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Wafa Assurance (CS: WASS ), which rose 4.85% or 198 points to trade at 4279 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 3.88% or 25 points to end at 670 and CDM (CS: CDM ) was up 3.64% or 20 points to 570 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Taslif (CS: TSF1 ), which lost 5.98% or 1.43 points to trade at 22.48 in late trade. Promopharm S.A. (CS: PRO ) declined 5.94% or 62 points to end at 981 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS: DLM ) shed 5.90% or 8.90 points to 142.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 14 and 2 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 6.34% or 2.89 to $42.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 6.23% or 3.37 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 14.40 to trade at $1272.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.23% to 10.8830, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.5566.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 96.010.
