Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P/BMV Industrials Select, Consumer Goods & Services and S&P/BMV Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:ASURB), which rose 10.36% or 53.67 points to trade at 571.84 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB) added 6.01% or 11.48 points to end at 202.40 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA) was up 4.69% or 0.50 points to 11.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA), which fell 3.41% or 1.03 points to trade at 29.21 in late trade. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (BMV:KIMBERA) declined 2.93% or 0.96 points to end at 31.81 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) down 2.12% or 0.50 points to 23.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 155 to 78 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.08% or 2.30 to $2,993.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.96% or 0.64 to hit $67.19 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.71 to trade at $70.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.93, while EUR/MXN rose 0.09% to 21.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 103.72.
