Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia All Share Health Care and FTSE Italia All Share Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which rose 1.79% or 1.70 points to trade at 96.75 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.59% or 0.03 points to end at 1.98 and Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) was unchanged 0.77% or 0.00 points to 0.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 14.72% or 2.14 points to trade at 12.41 in late trade. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) declined 4.04% or 0.38 points to end at 9.02 and Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) down 3.41% or 0.91 points to 25.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 345 to 199 and 34 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; down 14.72% or 2.14 to 12.41.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.04% or 0.71 to $68.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.03% or 0.74 to hit $72.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 11.80 to trade at $2,656.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 100.37.
