Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the FTSE Italia All Share Industrials, FTSE Italia Technology and FTSE Italia All Share Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC), which rose 4.64% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.09 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) added 3.97% or 1.49 points to end at 39.00 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 2.09% or 0.05 points to 2.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which fell 12.18% or 7.92 points to trade at 57.12 in late trade. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) declined 7.91% or 38.20 points to end at 444.90 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) down 5.21% or 0.67 points to 12.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 317 to 211 and 51 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.97% or 1.49 to 39.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.24% or 1.54 to $70.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.87% or 1.35 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.35% or 39.50 to trade at $2,891.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.72% at 107.10.
