Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia Oil & Gas and FTSE Italia All Share Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which rose 2.84% or 2.50 points to trade at 90.45 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) added 0.82% or 0.06 points to end at 7.90 and Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) was up 0.40% or 0.02 points to 4.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which fell 7.07% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.88 in late trade. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) declined 4.93% or 0.46 points to end at 8.95 and STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) down 4.59% or 1.32 points to 27.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 364 to 123 and 37 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.74% or 2.75 to $70.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.36% or 3.38 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.60 to trade at $2,518.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 101.76.
