Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia All Share Industrials and FTSE Italia Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.43% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.27 at the close. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) added 1.42% or 0.09 points to end at 6.30 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 1.06% or 0.32 points to 30.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 4.52% or 0.59 points to trade at 12.38 in late trade. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) declined 3.42% or 0.08 points to end at 2.29 and Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC) down 3.37% or 0.20 points to 5.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 370 to 180 and 45 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.06% or 0.32 to 30.58.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.19% or 0.14 to $72.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $75.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 21.49 to trade at $2,856.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP fell 0.77% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 108.86.
