Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia Telecommunications and FTSE Italia All Share Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 1.33% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.02 at the close. Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) added 1.09% or 0.15 points to end at 14.26 and Azimut Holding SpA (BIT:AZMT) was up 1.01% or 0.24 points to 24.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which fell 2.73% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.27 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.12% or 0.26 points to end at 11.93 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) down 2.08% or 0.15 points to 7.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 327 to 194 and 35 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.28 to $69.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.55% or 1.13 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.30 to trade at $2,735.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.75.
