Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the FTSE Italia All Share Industrials, FTSE Italia Utilities and FTSE Italia All Share Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which rose 3.15% or 1.58 points to trade at 51.76 at the close. Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) added 2.24% or 0.41 points to end at 18.45 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) was up 2.24% or 0.17 points to 7.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which fell 4.77% or 1.26 points to trade at 25.15 in late trade. Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) declined 4.19% or 2.70 points to end at 61.80 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) down 3.26% or 0.32 points to 9.63.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 289 to 267 and 42 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.24% or 0.17 to 7.68.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.85% or 1.24 to $68.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.62% or 1.15 to hit $72.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 29.39 to trade at $2,688.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 105.68.
