Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia All Share Financials and FTSE Italia Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which rose 3.95% or 2.28 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 1.15% or 0.12 points to end at 10.56 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 0.99% or 0.22 points to 22.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 2.25% or 0.88 points to trade at 38.21 in late trade. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 1.81% or 0.16 points to end at 8.49 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) down 1.80% or 0.43 points to 23.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 294 to 185 and 49 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-year lows; losing 1.81% or 0.16 to 8.49.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.21% or 1.00 to $81.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.29% or 1.11 to hit $84.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 5.40 to trade at $2,368.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.83.
